A unique, antique tulipwood sideboard with 2 cupboards and 3 drawers to the base. It features attractive inlaid panel doors to each side of the three central drawers. The cupboards have slide in wooden trays which are easily removeable and were probably originally used for cutlery. It sits on six legs which are joined by a stretcher which is semi circular at the front. The worktop edge is moulded. The top has an attractive upstand at the back with the oval inlay panel matching the doors. There is a small piece of trim missing at the lower right hand side.
This piece is surplus to our requirements. We understand it spent its life in a military officers mess and was possibly made by a cabinet maker in Edinburgh.
We offer this large, heavy piece of furniture unfinished. The counter top would benefit from refinishing, we can undertake this at an additional cost.
The counter top is 100cm from the floor.
