Our lovely customer Sandra asked us to source and refinish this dining set, she specified the fabric and that she needed 5 chairs.

After thorough preparation, we spray painted the table and chairs; firstly with two coats of shellac base primer, then two coats of water based acrylic resin undercoat in dark grey. We followed this with two coats of water based acrylic topcoat in Black. We then applied two coats of water based satin varnish. The table top had five coats of topcoat and three in satin varnish to achieve the effect we were looking for.

The foam on the chairs and springing were in good condition; we added fire retardant wadding to provide additional padding. Sandra chose a high quality velvet damask in gold and black. We trimmed it with muted matt gold studding. The fabric was stainguard protected.
