A heavy large vintage G+F sideboard with 2 cupboards and 3 drawers. The top drawer is fitted for cutlery with blue baize lining.  It has a curving front and sides, the doors and drawers are curved to match. It stands on cabriole legs. It features intricate carvings to the legs, bottom apron and feature points.

G+F furniture products were manufactured at Goldfeather works in Leeds, Yorkshire. They used the Gold and Feather brand name and their high-quality pieces were often chosen for use on the top ocean liners. The business was named after the owners Sidney Featherman and Ronnie Goldberg. This fine sideboard is an excellent example of their workmanship.

We have transformed it with a multi-coat finish

• Thorough preparation
• professionally spray painted
• two coats of shellac based primer
• two coats of water-based acrylic undercoat
• three coats of water-based acrylic topcoat in Regency White
• metallic gold paint to carvings.

We refitted the original hardware with the exception of the locks which have been replaced with magnetic door catches. The keys have been glued into place as door pulls.
